Toyo Proxes?

Anyone got any good info on the Toyo's. Am currently using Michelin Pilots A/s and was wondering how the Toyo's perform?

Re: Toyo Proxes?

I have read that T1-S is the way to go if you choose the Toyos. Plus if you get them from a Toyo dealer they give you a 500 mile try out period for free. No questions asked. The free trial period is only on certain tires, so ask the dealer.

The Toyo would would be looking at is the Proxes4-it is M+S rated as are the A/Ss. Try treadepot.com for more info on the Toyo.

From: on some Prius forum somewhere. Also getting 60mpg.
Re: Toyo Proxes?

I have the T1-S on my car and I like them very much. They are a bit noisier than the Pilots, but they have much better grip than the Pilots.

Re: Toyo Proxes?

so is the genaral consensus that the Toyos , as all season, perform better than the Pilot A/S? What about pricing?

Re: Toyo Proxes?

I have Michelin A/Ss on my G35X and Toyo T1-Ss on my Miata. They are definitely not comparable tires. The T1-S is strictly a summer tire. Great dry and wet traction, but not for very cold weather or snow. The Michelin A/Ss are true all-season tires and are pretty good in snow. Also a pretty big difference in wear rating 400(A/S) vs. 280(T1-S). In addition, the T1-S does not come in a 17" that would fit the G35. Hope that helps.

I'm on my 3rd or 4th set of T1-Ss. I love those tires.
