I WONDER IF HELIUM WOULD MAKE THE CAR LIGHTER .??
HMMMMMMMMMM

I beleive it.
The pros to nitrogen in the tires are:
-Lack of corrosive oxygen - preserves the rubber better
-Larger molecules don't seep out as quickly as pure air. Tires stay filled to correct pressure longer
-Tends to stay cooler leading to more consistent pressures
Nitrogen is used in pretty much all aircraft tires. It is "better" than pure air.
However, with all that said, i still run regular air in my tire.

you believe it makes the car immediately handle better?
corrosion is prevented, but the reason they use it in aircraft tires is the changes of temp/pressures with altitude and location. they use it in race tires because they heat up fast and much hotter. even if you drove your G to its limit there would be no performance advantage running pure nitrogen over air.

Maybe i should haead to Cosco. How much did they charge for all 4 tires?

I didn't say anything about the car handling better.

Oh no, i don't think it makes a difference in handling at all. Like i said, i am running regular air in my tires. I beleive nitrogen has it's pros, but it doesn't impress me enough to spend $30 to get it in there
Maybe one day if i'm bored and have the cash i'll do it. But more than likely i'll forget about nitrogen in a day or two

When I was 7 years old and my mom bought me a new pair of sneakers, I SWORE that I could run faster because of the new treads on the sneakers!
This is no different. The car isn't going to handle different with nitrogen in it. lol

Actually the car can handle better with Nitrogen. The main reason is Nitrogen doesn't change tire PSI with temp. The hotter the tire gets, the higher the PSI gets. Just like racing, you need to play with your tire pressures to find the optimal one. Once you find it you have to keep changing it if the tire gets hot or cold to keep it handling good. With nitrogen it stays in that PSI whatever the temperature might be.
So in a way yes it can make the car handle better.
