Maintaining Tire Wear

I own a 2004 G35 coupe and just took it in for a 30k checkup. An alignment was required since the front toe was -0.25 degrees. My last alignment was done 3 months ago.

So, from a maintenance stand point, should I do an alignment every 3 months (4 times a year) to decrease the chance of feathering?

Every dealer that I talk to says alignments are only required once a year. So if the car isn't designed to last 12 months, shouldn't the manufacturer pickup the slack?

I'm currently running Michelin Pilots on the front (which are starting to wear) and Bridgestones on the rear (perfect condition).

they dont have to do anything, its your fault if it goes out of alignment from driving around, if you want multiple checks go to firestone lifetime alignment is like 149

Unfortunately the rubber bushings are wear items [not covered under warranty beyond 12k or 1 year]. Nether is road damage/stress from potholes etc, so owners are on their own as far as alignments and tire wear.

the reply was not regarding firestone tires. firestone offers lifetime alignments, doesn't matter what tires you have.

Yeah I remember hearing that when I used to work at Enterprise rent a car. We had this one Firestone do all of the oil changes to our cars and the manager there would ask me if I wanted to sign up for the unlimited alignment for 149.99 its supposed to be good at any firestone I believe.

I may have to take them up on that offer. Especially when we start discussing suspension mods etc....
