need your recommendation on 19s specs

im thinkin about gettin some 19s.. staggered of course. i have an 03 with brembos. i wanted to get your advice on what offset, etc. that i should get for some 19s. i dont want to get stuck with wheels that stick out too much, rub, or what not. i did a search of course, but wanted to get a general consensus on what i should get. lemme know so i know what exactly i should be lookin for. thanks!

what style, finish, and construction are you looking for?
there are so many choices you have to narrow it down by somehow before you ask for suggestions.

horrible offsets and tire sizes. For a 8.5/9.5 setup, you should be looking at high teens low 20's for the offset, and for a 9.5/10.5 setup, mid 20's would be good. As far as tire sizes, 245/35/19 and 275/35/19 or 255/35/19 and 285/35/19 are the most popular choices that match the OEM tire diameters the closest

thanks!.. thats the info i was looking for.

anyone else got any recommendations?

i also had a typo.. its a 20 offset for the front and a 25 offset for the rear. accidentally typed 35 for the rear. yikes..

out of those tire size combos, which will fit perfectly? my G aint lowered yet, but in case I will, i dont wanna worry about rubbing. plus, i hate it when the rims stick out more than the fender. aint tryin to lean like a cholo.. lol

I wouldn't get anything else than 19x9.5 fronts / 19x10.5 rears with 255/285's mounted on them.

JMHO

its okay, conservative setup with cheap wheels, as long as you are happy with the setup, thats all that matters

hmmmm... now you guys got me thinkin.

i dont think i'll go with the sterns anymore. its just so damn tempting cuz its in my price range and decent quality. its hard to find a nice set of rims under $2000 that come in black with a polished lip.

Hate to bump an old thread.

But I'm looking to pick up some Stern ST-1s for the g/fs '03 G Coupe. Wheel width is not a big deal, she doesn't race this car just a daily driver from home to school to work. Just want a nice set of rims since the stock 18s are scratched and dinged up from the previous owner.

I am looking at the same wheels G-Mented listed. 19x8.5/19x9.5, +20/+25. I've done some searching looking around on here. I see lots of guys running 245/35/19, 275/35/19. Or the 255/285 combo.

I do want to get a meatier look. Looking at 1010tires.com calculator though I'm a little concerned/confused I guess you would say. They say a 245/35/19 is 3% too fast. I would like to run 285 out the back, but a 255 tire is too wide for a 8.5 wheel.

So my question is since I can't seem to find anybody running this setup. Would 245/35/19, 285/35/19 be alright? Too me it sounds ok, but would like to hear your guy's opinions.

Thank you.
