i would assume these are the forged wheels people have been raving about as far as being light etc? Do you know their weight off hand the website doesn't have it listed.
BTW Tirerack has your 285/30 BFG tires weighing around 31 lbs a piece. Don't know if it helps but just wanted to put that out there
I'm running 19x9 (255/35/19) and 20x10 (285/30/20). Yes these are fully forged 2 piece wheels (hoops and center). I don't know what the rim weight is but when I got them mounted with tires the front's wieghed 56.5 lbs and the rears 61.5 lbs which is a lot heavier then stock. I do know that the BFG KDWs are heavy meaty tires.Originally Posted by tiguy99

stock 18's weigh 25 lbs in the front
I weighed my 20" dpe front wheels 30lbs.. 5 lbs is a lot and I definitely feel it.
my MPG went down from 22 to 23mpg to 19..half freeway half city driving
more effort on braking like DH said..
bottom line.. when you get 20's, your braking will suffer more, your mpg will suffer, and your acceleration will suffer but it looks damn good lol
oh well, i plan to go FI anyways...

Thanks so much guys! This is exactly what I was looking for. www.wheelweights.net does not list every rim size or weight for them either. Its great non the less but I wish we had more pertinant info like people here posting their experience and results after upgrading with their choice of wheel but all in one place!
We could even make it a sticky where people can post their wheel weight and then the weight with the tires to help others who are deciding on which kind of wheels they need for their ride!
That way we'd all have everything we need. What do you guys think about this? What if we have a section that features actual wheel reviews and even tire reviews with honest opinions from the actual owners saying yey or ney based on their experiences track/street/snow/rain etc? That'd be awesome in my opinion
What does everyone here think about this? I mean this thread REALLY helped me with my decision to go 20" with factoring in actual wheel weight and tire choices etc to get the most out of the experience up upgrading the wheels on this car.
I didn't know how important it was until I started thinking about it and factoring all of this in. I'm curious to hear all of your opinions and can even start doing the legwork myself when I pick up my coupe in a couple months.
For me its important bc I'm purchasing mods preferrably upfront so when I do put them all on at once I can save money and have the car how I like it right away. So making educated decisions means all the difference in the world right now if that makes sense

No problemo! Those are some nice wheels you've got there Johnson. How do you rate them over the old Axis wheels you had? And did they ever resolve the issue you had?Originally Posted by johnsonhuang

As for me I just found this out over the weekend...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...150876292&rd=1
Wonder if anyone here bought them....
I sent him an email re: condition etc but he never got with me in time I guess. Could it be anyone here who knew about this sale? If things checked out it would be one hell of a deal

I used to have toyo tr1's 285/30/20 on my 10.5" Maya's and they were a little stretched. I now have them on my 10" Asanti's, no longer stretched and had to roll my rear fenders. Rides fine if you ask me.
