Wheel Spacer Problem / Question

Wheel Spacer Problem / Question

Well I was trying to install some spacers earlier today and I noticed something ive never seen before so I figure id ask here to hopefully find out the answer.



Whats that red painted nut sitting by the studs? Its in the way of the spacer so im hoping someone can help me out

Just remove it. That little screw prevents you from putting your rear wheels on the front (it hits the back face of the wheel so that you can't put it on). I would save the screw though. When you get around to replacing the rotors, they could be rusted on the spindle and difficult to take off. If you use that screw and tighten it all the way, it will break the rust and pop the rotor right off the spindle. That's the only other use of that screw.

Thanks guys, I installed the spacers and everything went smoothly after that. I love the new look however now im getting a clunking type of sound whenever the car is in motion from the rear. Im wondering if the spacers are loose or if something else is causing it, any suggestions?

clunking isnt good.. i hope u didnt use 5mm spacers.
