winter tires?

I live a a western suburb of Philadelphia. Winter weather sucks. I am thinking about getting a 2005 g35c sport with the stock alloy wheels. I think they are like 17s or 18s. Whats a good winter tire for them, because I am going to by a nice pair of 19's or wide 18's as a summer set.

Dunlop Wintersport M3's are a well known/very popular winter tire on this forum...I have some 17's on my OEM rims for winter as a setup.

Dunlop M3's and Bridgestone Blizzak lm-22's are probably the most popular, and are classified as performance winter tires and are really only meant for light to moderate snow levels and some ice, they sacrifice some winter capability for better wet/dry handling/performance. If you need a more dedicated winter setup, the blizzack ws-50's are a good choice and a few people have those on g35's. Better winter capabilities, but alot of complaints about squirminess etc. I personally have the Michelin arctic alpine PA2's, which aren't popular around here, but have great reviews on tirerack, another good option which I have been happy with. Got them at Costco for a decent price.

Will these be your only wheels/tires? If yes, the a/s might be the way. But I'd buy the BEST. Go to tirerack and read the reviews.
