Tire problem??

I had my G sitting for about 12 days covered during the real bad weather. Took it out 2 days ago. My tire pressure symbol light thingy was going off so I checked pressure. Right rear tire was very low. Filled it to 35 or 36 on the gauge. Went low again next morning so had it checked for a slow leak. Found a darn screw screwing my tire. Asked the tire repair dude to fix it without screwing my rims. He said plugging would be the solution rather than patching. So I had him plug it. Things were fine. Today that tire is low again. What could be the problem?

Perhaps need one new Michelin sport?

Re: Tire problem??

You need to patch it. A plug will eventually blow out again. Even with a patch, consider the tire non-speed rated and don't go crazy with the speeds. I wouldn't say you need a new tire unless you plan to race it at a track.

As long as your "tire repair dude" is reputable, not scratching the rim should not be a problem. If you're really paranoid, find a place that specializes in cars like Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW, etc.
