taller tires in rear... (getting wheels and tires from a Zed)
taller tires in rear... (getting wheels and tires from a Zed)
as in the title, a coworker of a friend is giving me a good deal on his snowtires from his zed, with wheels, 225 50r17 front and 225 55r17 rear. will this difference in diameter be of concern to the computer? ie making it think its' loosing traction in front or something?
any other problems/issues with this setup?
Thanks,
oh, and i did search, but found not much usefull (and i'm short on time, at work)

Staggered is very common in sedans. It becomes a problem with VDC when your wheel diameter is increased by something like 30%, I don't recall the exact percentage. And I don't care to look. Just do a search for some threads regarding VDC and tire sizes.
You should be ok considering people run 45s in the rear mostly, and thats with 18s. You'll be okay.
