Re: What do you think of these BBS wheels?

You can never go wrong with BBS wheels! I've had them, my father's had them, and just about everyone I know who's serious into autopsorts has either had them or raced on them. The classic mesh styling made popular by BBS is still recognozed today as one the hottest looking wheels around, and although they've been slightly revamping their wheels year after year, the basic design and style concept remains.

The one drawback to these rims is their price! A set of 19's with some good rubber will set ya back over $5000! That's up there if you ask me. I purchased my 19" Volk SF Winning's with tires for right around $3000. . . .

The BBS RS-GT are pretty steep $. The best I've found so far is about $3000.00 for 2 - 18" x 8.5" fronts and 2 - 18" x 9.5" rear.

Another wheel that looks very similar and is less than half the price are the ADR M-Sport. The best I've found so far for these is about $1300.00 for 2 - 18" x 8.5" fronts and 2 - 18" x 9.5" rear. I can buy lots of tires with the $1700.00 savings and they look good also. I'm going with the ADR's. Here's what the ADR's look like:

I love those wheels, but like you am a bit overwhelmed by the cost. I have a couple questions:

Where did you get the picture? I've been looking for something like that for months.

Second, I was also looking at the ADR wheels as a cheaper substitute. Are you looking at going to 19's? Also, do you have the Brembo's? I ask because I was told that the 18's won't work with the Brembo brakes on the 6MT.

I found the picture by accident on Tire Racks website.

I'm debating on going with either 18 x 8.5 fronts and 18 x 9.5 in the rear OR going with 19 x 8.5 front and 19 x 9.5 rear. The ADR M Sport looks like a two piece wheel, but it's really only a one piece wheel.

I have a 5AT, so no Brembos to woory about. I'm considering the impact 19" will have on ride quality, speedo error and clearance.

I'm talking to Les Schwab Tires in Nor Calif about the wheels. I've bought from them before and they're really good to deal with.

I just did a post a few minutes ago to a link that lets you calculate 2 different wheel / tire combos side by side. It's great info. Good luck

I love BBS wheels. Those look pretty good.

BBS got kind of played out with S4's...seemed like EVERYONE with aftermarket tires had em. Hopefully it wont happen here haha.
