18 X 7.5 sedan rim questions
hello all-
i've been lurking here some time and trying to glean from past posts but i have an uncertainty about this specifically and was hoping for some insight.
the wheels i want for my sedan only come in a 7.5" width for the 18"s and offer two offsets: +20 mm and +42mm. from looking at member's graphs the smaller the positive offset, the more it pushes the wheel outward, right? so, if i am correct, would it be "fitting" (i know it's subjective) to go with the +20mm offset on a 7.5"? i am looking for my wheels to be outward far enough to fill the space and look relatively flush with the car. am i articulating myself well enough? NOT like a civic with deepdish rims- ala early 90's. haha.
and another one: will 245/45/18 tires fit well on a 7.5" rim and will that confound the offset issue?
a side note: my car is lowered on tien h-tech springs: 1.4" front and .7" rear.
thanks for any help.

No, the 20mm offset on a sedan would rub like mad. 42mm is the way to go. 7.5" is only .5" off the ideal rim width for 245mm tread width, I don't see that as a problem.
Any pics (or a link) of the rims your thinking about?
