Do sway bars affect the VDC?

Do sway bars affect the VDC?
Wierd thing happened to me today. For the past couple days I've borrowed my friends stock 18s until I get my iforged fixed. 2 days ago I installed the hotchkis sway bars and drove around with the stock 18s, no problems with the vdc kicking in. Today I got my wheels back and put them on my coupe, drove around the block and my vdc (slip light) kept kicking in. Everytime I gas it the vdc kicked in. So what the heck is going on? This never happen when I had my 20s on a week ago. I just disconnect the battery and hopefully the problem will be fixed on its own.

Re: Do sway bars affect the VDC?
Are your 20's a different overall height compared to the 18's?
I've heard that you have to keep the tire diameters pretty close to stock to keep the VDC from kicking in. Perhaps it has the ability to compensate slightly and is recalibrated to your old wheels.
Then when you put on the stock wheels it is out of calibration?
I suspect that if you drive around for a while it migh readjust back to the stock tire size.
I wouldn't suspect the sway bars of having an effect.
Just a theory.

Re: Do sway bars affect the VDC?
Sway bar won't make any difference. For the VDC to work properly, your front and rear tires need to be staggered in height. If the rears are proportionally larger than the fronts, the computer thinks the rears are spinning and kicks in the traction control. The only other possibility is that when installing the sway bars, you messed up a wheel sensor or a cable to a wheel sensor.
