ive always had toyos and i just got some falkens for a change so we'll see!

 

I can't give you an accurate review of the t1r's because I only have them on my rear wheels. My previous full set were Falken 452's.

T1r rear size: 285/30/20
- Excellent traction in wet street conditions.
- Predictable and Easy to control in wet and dry conditions.
- Like Dan said, easy to control in slides. also easy to get sliding. Doesn't just suddenly break loose like 350z stock re040's.
- Smooth soft ride
- I didn't like how the side wall feels squishy for a low profile
- I drove 30 miles with a nail in it and then 3 miles with zero pressure. I plugged up the hole and filled it back up. I put over 1000 miles since then and it's still good. No damage to my 20x10 rim or tire side wall. goes to show T1r's feel squishy but have a strong side wall.

Falken 452's
- great ride in dry
- not as good in wet as the T1r's
- more road feed back
- nicer looking tread design
- wore out really fast after 50% tread life

You can't go wrong with either, but since it's rainy season I would pick the t1r's. For summer time I rather have the 452's

overpriced? i got a set of 4 255x35x18 and 295x35x18 installed for 800...

 

I have the Toyos with about 10k miles. Even with slightly negative camber the tires looks as if I've just gotten them. Perhaps I'll give the Falkens a try when I decide to change tires.

 

I have Falkens on the rears only gone about 1k miles so far they are quiet and
ride smoother than the stock potenza's.

 

If it were my car and I wanted good tires that gave me good mileage and
were not noisey I'd buy Michelins.......which is what I did buy. If I only
had the choice you posted I settle for the Toyo's!

 

BFG KDW2 you'll be happy 300 treadwear rating, great in wet weather bad*ss when dry just a little noisier than Michelin

 

Have the T1R's and not very happy with them. Traction control kicking in way to much.

I agree specially about the falkens being a little more slippery in the wet roads, but both are great tires. It is easier to find falkens for much less $ than T1r's. So for the money and because I live in Austin where it does not rain much I choose the falkens.

 

Falkens 452, on my second set and love them on my 18" stock wheels.

 

I have the falkens on my oem 19s for about 2k miles now and they are great. I've driven w/ these in really wet conditions and they handle great.

a quiet noise?
I know some tires are a little fatter even though specs are the same.. which one in this situation?

 

bumping another old thread after my digging for answers. Ok - What price should I expect to pay for a new set of of Falken FK452's (245 40 19 & 275 35 19)? I got a quote for $1000.... fair or no?

 

falken 452 for sure...

i am very disappointed with my toyo t1r's and i only have about 2k on them...

the side walls are weak, they wear too fast, and the road noise is horrible...
