Is it really neccessary to have 5 stickies on the wheels stuff. Why not combine into 1 or put it in FAQ or DIY. That is way too many repetetive stickies. Or make it a special category and put it up with FAQs, 6 posts in 3 days...maybe it isn't that popular.

Ryoken, I'm with you - where's the DP? j/k - actually, I think the idea by trentacinque is a good one. We just need those that have already upgraded wheels to post some pics! I have seen tons of random posts "does anyone have a xxx color car with yyy wheels?".

dude, take a good look at this forum. Huge number of..

"anybody have these wheels"
"can someone photoshop these wheels on this color"
"how would these rims look"
...etc, etc, etc, posts

And if someone does post a picture of some wheel..it is immediatly followed up with a ton of "what size is that?", "what offset is that?", "are you lowered?", "how much were they?" questions.

I am all for posting wheels and colors. I also understand the myriad of questions about offset, wheel weights etc. We already have that in stickies, but people do not take the time to read it. Does it have to be so many stickies. Also, if you notice the threads are Moderator/Admin controlled.

 

The only editing of the posts in those threads will be posts for more info. The main reason is so someone with "x" color G35 can look at several different wheels on their car in one thread with all of the info necessary for sizing without weeding through posts w/out pics. Right now if you do a search with a color or a type of wheel you'll go through a hundred posts and maybe get 3 or 4 different pics.

Yep! Those wheel stickies sure get a lot of posts! Good idea, but overkill on threads. Should be 1 thread.

 

The reason we went with seperate threads is eventually we're hoping to create a large database of wheel pics. It seems like there haven't been many posts but the threads have been up for 4 days and have gotten 14 replies with pics. Not everyone checks this site daily so as people see the new threads they'll post their pic. After a few months, maybe sooner, we'll have a pretty good size collection.

OK after 2 weeks and nothing in 2 of the categories can we cut down the # of stickies. I am all for the idea but how about 1 single Gallery!

 

hot g....lets simmer down. just overlook them. I think its a great idea, and sooner or later, more and more pictures will be posted. Its just a matter of getting people to put them up there.

Well, I love it. I wanted to see what various wheels looked like on our Gs. I just ordered the Fitipaldi Force wheels in all chrome this moring from Discount Tire. I will post the pictures when I get them mounted up on my DG coupe.
