Got Toyo Proxes T1R installed

After 13000 miles of relatively tire-friendly driving, my original Potenzas lost almost all the thread. I did some research and decided that T1Rs fit my needs the best. I ordered a set from Tiredeals4less and had them delivered to the dealership where I have my car serviced. They installed the new tries and got rid of the old ones for $108 total. One of my front tires was excessively worn on the inside, so I asked them to do the alignment too.

So far I only have a hundred miles on them and it is definitely too soon to make any conclusions. But so far they feel way different from the old Potenzas. They feel stickier but I cannot say that they are more responsive. I'll wait another 600 miles before trying to push them harder and see what they can do. I need to wear the thick "sealant" layer that Toyos are famous for.

But with only a hundred miles on them I can say that I am satisfied with the purchase. I'll post more when I get more data points.

I had a chance to tour the newest Toyo Plant in North Georgia. The most robotic and modern in the 2005 world............350 employees and 150 acres of land.

Mine say "made in japan". So, I guess, they are imported
