Volk GT-N help
I am planning to get some Volk GT-N's (gold) for my Infiniti G35 coupe (manual). i do not want to go to 19" wheels (added weight, gear ratio and speedo change). i was thinking of going 18x9 for the front and 18x10 in the rear. my question is, what offsets and tire widths would i need in order to NOT roll the fenders. i prefer to run 275/40/18 in the rear. i also plan to lower the car approx. 1in (tein basics). thanks for all your help!

Re: Volk GT-N help
anyone? i'll bump it before it gets to the 2nd page. i've done a search, but it doesn't look like anyone is running GT-N's. i just want to know if the +23 rear, +22 front will clear the brakes. i know that's what the offsets are for volk challenges (19in), but would it be the same for an 18in GT-N?

Re: Volk GT-N help
well u do understand that a 19 wont effect ur speedo if u went with a 35 series tire..... but if u want 18s then i would run 275/40/18 in the rear and then run a 245/45/18 in the front. that will only change ur speedo like .01% so basicaly nothing. You should not run into and trouble droping the car with those tire sizes. I dont know about the offestets though good luck with that.

Re: Volk GT-N help
taste? thanks, i jus' think they're really nice looking (plus they're light as hell, i mean they're volks). but, i do understand that a 19in wheel won't affect my speedo, only if i went with a 35 series tire. however, i don't really care to feel all the bumps on the road with a 35 series tire either. though volks are strong wheels, you may still run into the risk of bending the crap out of them with a 35 series tire if you hit the wrong bump at the wrong angle at the wrong speed. 40 series is the smallest i'll go. it's "comfy." so i would only be able to run an 18in wheel, which is fine with me. i have the tire calculator, too! the offsets are what's important though, i need enough to give clearance for the brakes (especially in the front), but i love that deep dish look!
