It sucks they don't come in 255/35/19, I'm thinking of using 265/30/19 and 285/35/19

When will you be trying this setup out? I won't need new tires for some time, hopefully. I've only been driving ~400 miles a month lately. Actually, last month I think I drove less than 200...trying to push off having to buy new tires, lol.

I'm swapping out for the snows in a couple of weeks, and then getting my tires flipped and I'm hoping to make it through the next summer before purchasing new tires. so it'll be a while before I make the switch. I don't drive much either like you, so I don't even know when I'll need new tires.

I was using stock sized Blizzacks on my stock wheels, but found them a bit rough and noisy on dry pavement which is waht we have here the majority of the time. We don't really have a lot of snow in MD and I don't drive the car in heavy snow, so I switched to Michelin Pilot A/S. Just in case I get caught out in the freaky weather we can have here.

why not just run 245/35 and 285/35? that is what I did with my 451's and will probably do for 452's if I purchase them next.

So far I agree that the Falken's were very nice. The Nitto's and the Kumho's have more grip but are not as nice for daily driving. I like how wide the Kumho's are; they are almost square on my 10" rears with a 275/30. The Falkens were very stretched looking in the same size.
Falkens tend to run skinny. my 285/35/19 451's are only 11.1 wide. most manufacturers 285's are closer to 11.5. even my 245/35/19 is only 9.7 compared to most others @ 9.8. no big deal...still a nice tire.

I am thinking about checking out some of the following:

Nitto - INVO
Hankook - Ventus S1 Evo

any feedback on these new tires?

Wow, and I find the Blizzaks very soft and mushy as compared to my Michelin A/S tires. They are a bit noisier, but the car is pretty well insulated for road noise when the windows are shut.

What do you hate about them? I have had 18's through 20's and have run on several different brands of tires. Thus far I must say I like the Falken FK452's. They are very quiet and feel very aquainted with the roads. I also like the Toyo T1R's for the same reason plus they are less costly but you get a good quality tire.
Goodyear.

I'm Running Nittos Nt555, I Had The Bridgestone Potenzas And Were Really Disappointed With Them For The Money. The Nittos Are Ok But Not That Impressed. They Are Supposed To Be Rated Well In The Rain And My Conclusion, They Suck In The Rain! Now Dry Hot Day Thats Another Story.

Last summer I was running 452's and loved them, this summer I ran PS2's because they were already on my wheels when i bought them. Ill probably switch between the two or use one for the track and one for DD. I use blizzaks for the winter

Not wanting to go just based on the theories of a few folks here, I went to Epinions.com and Tirerack for reviews from numerous folks and testing by the Tirerack pros. The so-called crappy Kumho's mentioned above actually scored just as well as most tires costing 2X more. Kumho's were <$500 installed (225/50/17 with a V rating): Michelins, Bridgestones and other big name tires would have been >$900 with the same ratings as found in the sites mentioned above. I've now got >10,000 miles on them and they're quiet, smooth, have great grip, have even tread-wear and perform extremely well in wet and dry pavement. Don't so well in the snow... but then again, few performance rires do.

My advice- read TireRacks and Epinion's reviews, plus Consmuer Reports to get a more "research based" reviews.
