Best wheel combo for the track

So I am planning on taking the G to the track in the next couple of months. I was wondering if I should use my volks at the track or my oem wheels. Right now I have oversized tires on the car and its pretty slow with the 275/35/19 in the rear. I was wondering am I better off going 275/30/19 on rear and 245/35/19 in front on the volks or doing 235/40/18 all around on oem wheels. Which combo will offer better all around performance for the track.
TIA

I would say use the OEM's for the sake of damaging the volks...or if you can..find a set of USED 350Z wheels and beat the crap outta those...

are you going to be doing quarter miles or more of a road racing deal? Either way, if you're just doing this for fun, definitely no need to kill the expensive tires on your volks and risk damaging it.

I will be doing some road track racing and I 'd like some good performance. I am not concerned with tire costs as I get tires at a good price. So if the staggered tires are better, I'd use them.I wasn't really worried about damaging the volks as my car is not a show car. Maybe now that I think about it I remember 245/40/18 is the best combo on a 18x8 or 18x8.5 wheel. I guess thats what you guys mean 350z wheel?

What size tire were you looking for and why do you want to run 19" wheels?

road racing... get a set of Enkei RBF1... lightest wheel for the money & strongest wheel for the money...

Drop me a PM on monday I will get you a quote...

If you have stock brakes... go with 17's... you will be loving the track with these and some good R compounds!

Something around a 245.

I have to run 19" with my 15" 12-pot brakes.

17inch rims scare me.. Last time i put 17's on my car i slammed my transmission mount into the ground at 40 mph.

Tire size i would think a 245/30 would be fine.
