Need your Advice!
I desperately need a winter setup. It snowed while I was at work, about 3-4 inches by the time I got off work. I have not taken off the Volks, YIKES
, my dad has my OEM 18's and his just got back from a 10 day vacation. The stocks and my Volks are a nightmare in the snow.
After pondering for a while, I decided against buying another vehicle for winter and think after reading many posts, that the G will do just fine in the snow with winter tires and slow/careful driving. I hope
I am seeking advice on winter setups. I was thinking of getting a winter tire and wheel package on tirerack because I did not realize that Bridgestone and Dunlop had winter tires that went up to 18".
Which setup is best. 17" tire and wheel (which tires)
or
Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25
or
Dunlop Winter Sport M3
and do the last two tire options fit on the stock 18 performance package wheels.
Thank you in advance for your advice.

17's are better IMO. Tires are cheaper, wheels are cheaper, not to mention the tires avaliable for 17's are better in the snow. Blizzack 50's/60's are supposed to be great... I have the 50's.
I also have a set of 17's for sale on on the board, and they are also listed on ebay right now. Rims are nice. You could save yourself a few bucks.

I am wondering now if the Blizzak WS-60 or Dunlop Graspic DS-2 with 17" wheels will be better in the snow, since I realized I can get this setup for about the same price as just 18" tires.
I am not concerned much about performance. I won't be driving the car fast over the winter and the weather man's prediction of 2 -4 inches is now atleast 6 inches this morning and it is still snowing and we are supposed to get more this afternoon and tonight.
Do these setups really work in the snow on a RWD Sports car like the G35?
Snow Sucks.

And I second the 17" option, as there are more tire options available at this size, and you can go with a slightly narrower tire width, which is better for snow. I run 225/50-17 up front, and 225/55-17 in the rear.
