i wonder how they "track tested" them for "performance." did they do a few laps and make sure the wheels were still on? or did they have a super special lap timer that goes down to 0.00000000000000000001 second and saw that the weight savings got them faster lap times?

It depends on what purpose you use the car for...

Some people show their cars, hence the bling and brand names.

Others track/drag their cars, hence the go-fast mods.

yeah, you're right. each person has their own "style" or "flavor." i guess it's the same as when chicks buy $2k purses!

Exactly, LOL.

You can also ask why people spend so much money on wheels. Most people don't buy them because they are lightweight to use for racing. Most buy them for the name/look - same with these lugs.

Although I don't think I'd ever pay $250 for a set of lugs, I do have a couple sets of Ray's aluminum lugs that retail for $150. They're so much lighter than the Gorilla & McGard B.S. I had in the past. Pretty amazing, even if it doesn't make all that much difference.

I have talked to them since they are local.
According to them, these ti-nuts were still tight even after 10 lap when Rays and others needed to be re-tighten after 3 or 4 laps.
also each lb lighter on the wheel will gives you 1whp.

After my Rays nuts got damaged by an unexperienced mechanic when he used an impact gun to install mine...
Now I have to get new lug nuts before I can install my coilovers
I just don't feel secure about them any more.

THese are the lug nuts I am getting.

Not exactly....
The Rays nuts are known to be not that durable...
Some people said they are only good for about 10 times of taking it off and putting it back on...

The chrome finish chips off pretty quickly. They're heavy. They strip fairly easily But they were cheap, so whatever.
