Snow Chain for 03 G35 Coupe?
Snow Chain for 03 G35 Coupe?
Hi,
It's kinda really hard to find the RIGHT snow (cable) chain for my 03 G35 coupe with 245/45/18.
I tried SCC z-chain which was specially designed for the S.A.E. Class "S"(for passenger vehicles with limited clearance around the drive tires) but didn't fit at all. (like 5inches short)
http://www.scc-chain.com/Traction%20...ac_ZChain.html
I did a search by tire/wheel size and purchased the recommended size(Z-555)but didn't fit at all.
Any of you guys know the right snow chain(brands or etc.)for G35 coupe?
Planning for the trip to lake tahoe this coming Saturday so I need it as soon
as possible.
Thanks!!!

Personally I would not even put them on my jeep let alone a G. haha how funny would it be seeing a G roll down the street with chains on. But what ever floats your boat man.
Thanks!
Thanks!

There are a few mountain passes in my state that often require chains in addition to traction tires during the winter. I've even seen times where chains are even required on AWD/4WD when conditions are exceptionally severe. I keep a pair with my G in the event I get caught in a chain required situation. The state patrol would turn you back or fine you if you were caught without chains when they were required.

Man, last time i've seen tire chains were on a really beat up cars like a pinto or something...and that was back in the 90's.
Nowadays, maybe on emergency vehicles. Unless you live in the North Pole, ugh...argh...umm..i don't even know what to say, just don't do it.

I normally leave that experience to my Explorer.
I have a cabin that resides over one of these passes. In winter thousands of people travel over these passes in a day so you see chains on every kind of vehicle in these conditions.
I love the snow though.
I have driven in it so much that it does not bother me.
