Question Factory tire alternatives ??????

I have an 05 coupe and it's about time to change the tires. I personally don't know much, if anything at all about tire sizes. I'm still running on the stock rims and stock tires. My problem is that I can't find a manufacturer who makes the size I need 225/40/ZR19 front and 245/40/ZR19 rear to replace the Michelin Pilot Sports. A co-worker of mine recommended sumitomo HTR Z III's, which he runs on his G. The only thing is that those tires are 245/40/ZR19 rear and 235/35/ZR19. Will this make a huge difference as far as ride height and gap in the well? I currently can't afford to purchase the pilot sports or any high end tire and the only ones I've found so far at a reasonable price are Khumos. Are these any good?? Just need some adivce on this.

ALso, are there any alternate tire sizes (front/rear) that I can try and keep the car from having a larger gap in the wheel well?

Going back to your original question... with 245/40/ZR19 rear and 235/35/ZR19 front you will be just fine. 235s are a bit lower... but that should only make your steering crisp. Try this link... http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html
