i ordered some 20x9.5 and 20x11 Work T1S from Rick in December but he didnt have them in stock so im waiting the 6-8 weeks... i cant wait for mid february when they are supposed to be in... im going 305 in the back and still trying to decide on 245 or 255 up front... i cant find any 305/30/20 tires tho... only 305/25/20... so im having trouble deciding on the wall heights on the tires for the front based on this... any help would be appreciated

305/30/20 is too tall anyways, you WANT to run the 305/25/20. For the front I would into at least a 255 width, personally I would look for a 265/30/20.

you would have to band them, something similar to this thread: https://g35driver.com/forums/brakes-suspension-diy/140720-diy-installing-tpms-your-aftermarket-wheels.html

Damn it, I guess I'll just run them without the TPMS and just check my pressure every ~month or so. Will the (!) light be constantly on?

I'm told it's an option to have your VS-XX drilled to accommodate TPS. It just needs to be specified when you order. Hopefully this stands true.

^^ i think you can have them drilled and installed, but do you really want your wheels to be drilled into just for tpms?

screw tpms...im running on winter rims and tire....its not that much of a hassle with the light, its only blinking for like 20 seconds once u get in the car, its just the (!) and its the same colour as stock gauge lights, it kinda blends in... so its not that noticable.

but if your a pay-attention to detail *****, by all means...

It was no added cost for me to have them drilled for TPS. On my previous set of wheels, I had the sensors banded on and they were flawless however installation of the tires required more attention. To me, having them drilled was the best option since I do plan to have my TPS installed. Since my order has not come in, I'm not sure of where the placement of the sensors will be on the wheel. I'm hoping it's similar to the placement found in the stock wheels but I know some aftermarket wheels use the long "L" shape valve stem so I guess I"ll just wait and see.

I just got my rims and I was 'worried' about the TPMS, for about 2 minutes, then realized I don't care about the light. I hope I can live with it on. Ha.

I think what patman was referring to is that drilling a hole into the wheel might not be the best idea as it may compromise its structural integrity. The TPMS is not important enough to risk the drilling of a hole in wheels that were made without one...plus you're going to be riding on them 24/7. I would hate to have the thought of my wheels coming apart in the back of my mind everytime I get into my car. Just something that I wouldn't want to have to think about whenever I need to get somewhere. On a lighter note..I suppose they should know what they're doing right?
