Yokohama s.drive review

hey guys just got myself a set of yoko's new s.drive and wanted to write up for all you G lovers. Got them on the stock rim 235/50/17. They are amazing, the grip is incredible. The buldge over the rim is kinda annoying but whatever. They are much harder than the turanzas. and you know what the turanzas weren't actually that bad. They are a very comfortable tire compared to the new yoko's and a bit quieter, but for performance it's not even close.

Sounds good I purchased the s drives from tirerack but mines are 20" I haven't mounted them on the new rims but glad to hear they are decent.

Jack, it would be great to see pics of your G with the new tires.

So you're saying the S.drive are actually louder than the stock tires? If so, then I have to order some falken 452s.

Please let me know. I wanted to order a whole set for my OEM 19s. I lost some performance when I changed the fronts to Nexen 3000s 245/35/19. Now I wanted to do a swap out on the fronts to 245/35/19 Yokohama S.drive and rears too but in a 275/40/19 size.

Please let me know if the Yokos are louder vs the stocks. My front Nexen 3000s are louder than the OEM 19 Potenzas I have on the rear.

I have S drives on my stock 17" wheels and the grip is awesome. Road noise is not an issue.

I really don't drive the coupe that much so I can't give an honest opinion regarding the tread life. But compared to the Kumhos that were on the car before installing these, the handling was a night and day difference.

The tire shop did tell me that they will probably ware out faster than regular tires, for whatever that's worth.

Thanks!

Ionic that might be due to the lower treadwear rating on them vs. some other tires
