Offset to clear Brembo's

What up fellas. I have '06 coupe 6mt w/ brembos. I was just wondering if 32 offset would clear my brembos. Thanks!

Offset doesn't tell you much. It's also about rim diameter and spoke design. Search.

it all depends on the wheel. If its a one piece cast wheel then it would need the right spoke design and you'd most likely need a spacer (the size of the spacer would depend on the width of the wheel)

If it's a 2 or 3 piece forged wheel then it would need the right pad type to clear a big brake kit.

it's the factory brembos, 19 or 20 x 8.5 (f) x10 (r). Are there any disadvantages to adding a spacer?

Yes, you're adding to stress on studs pushing the wheel out further from the hub.

Do you have a set of wheels in mind? Most manufacturers or retailers with experience can tell you what will and won't clear the Brembos.

^ +1 A reputable retailer will be able to advise size and clearance for a specific wheel manufacturer that you have in mind. The offsets will differ by manufacturer and wheel type as mentioned.

So is it something that I shouldn't even consider?

Not if you can avoid it, but a lot of people have installed spacers without any problems. The best way to purchase rims is to get ones that fit properly from the start.

Thanks Gilley. These are the rims I was lookin at. If I decided to go with these, what size spacers should I go with? They come in 19's and 20's, with the same offset.
