will be summer wheels/tires only what do you guys think/know from personal experience's in the difference in 18s to 20s. looking to get these for my bone stock 04 g35x in either 18x8 +40 with 245/45 shown here

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....e1=yes&place=0

or the same tire on 20X8.5+42 wheel in the same style with 245.35.20s

http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...4&autoModClar=

also undecided on which drop springs to purchase. i don't want to go hunting for oem 350z or coupe springs that are used. I'm looking right now at the eibach pro kit for the sedan. which is 1.1inch drop front and rear. this should keep the camber and non sport shocks in check.

19's. 18's are too small and are good for track cars and reaching ultimate performance. 20's are took big and take away from the performance.

If you are considering 20s then go with those. Anything smaller may end up looking too small to you. Personally I'd go with some lightweight 19s, good balance between performance and looks.

Have you considered Coupe 19s?

Then perhaps you should look at a different tire. I have the Kumho Ecsta SPTs on mine, cost me around $175 each. 245/35-19 front, 255/35-19 rear on coupe 19's.

I've seen then go for around $600 or so up to $1200+ depending on the condition the wheels and how much tread is left in the tires.

Check out this thread if you haven't already: https://g35driver.com/forums/19-inch-304/

He is awd, so the coupe wheels are staggered. With awd you should not run staggered. Even though I think you could just run 245/40/19 or 245/35/19 and get away with it. But I would not try and run staggered.

As for 20's. They are not that big but you do lose alittle performance.

GO 20's or go home....just keep an eye out you should be able to find some rims fairly cheap....

tires for 19's and 20's are about the same even thought I have heard 19's are more $$$ and harder to find....

yeah i can get a good named/style 20inch tire for 140 a piece or a no name decent tire for a 19 for almost 200. i like 20s but don't want to spend a ton of cash for suspension work to make it look right. will a eibach pro kit with -1.1 drop f/r be enough? i would think 350htech would be the best looking but would need new rear shocks and camber kits f/r

id suggest using some springs that are specifically for the sedan. there was another member that ran the 350z s-techs on his sedan and the drop was unproportional front to rear.

i have both a set of coupe 19s and 20s and the tires for the 19s are $30-$40 more per tire than the 20s.
