I got 19s running 245/40f and 275/35r. I do rub a little bit in the rear after i had my alignment so i'm thinking a little neg camber will fix that.

what are you looking for: performance, comfort, low noise, dry grip, wet grip, value etc., etc.

tough to determine a list without knowing what are the most important factors for you in choosing a tire. give us your top five most important criteria and maybe we can really help you out with better informed opinions.

I know this is an old thread but I have to replace all four of my tires on 05 Coupe with OEM 19s. I hear a lot of great things about the PS2s. Any more thoughts on the subject? I'm most concerned about performance, road noise, dry grip, wet grip, and comfort in that order. Use G as my daily driver and don't drive too hard too often but have been known to open her up every now and again. Thanks.

For an all-around street tire:
Michelin PS2
Goodyear F1 GS-D3
Bridgestone RE050A
BFG KDW2
Dunlop SP9000
Toyo T1R
Falken FK452

For stock tire sizes: (performance oriented)

Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Pole Position.

You cannot get a high grip tire with high durability. It is a trade off.

More durability = less grip
More grip = less durability.

T1R's are popular, because they're cheap and last a long time, but they offer nowhere near the grip of the stock RE050a's when you compare the same sizes.

Mike do u realize that i have had RE050s along with other brands on my car and they all have been pushed to their limits and the Toyos were the best performing out of all of them. There is absolutely no category that RE050s are better then T1Rs.

Have u personally done tests on those tires when u say RE050s grip better than T1Rs?

Yes, We take in trades with T1Rs all the time (and we sell them too...)

The T1Rs have a much more progressive breakaway, which leads to the feeling of being in more control, which is true. It is easier to push the T1R to the limit than the RE050a.

IMO, the T1R is one of the the best compromises between performance and duability, especially given its wet weather performance.

ok....
050s grip as well as the t1rs
050s after many minutes of pounding both of those tires hold up pretty well

That is the only thing that 050s match with t1rs

Wet traction, quitness, tire life, ability to switch side to side all favor toyos.
I have done 15-20k on each of those tires and a lot of those miles have been in the canyons and some at the track.
