Toyo Tires, suggestions?

Anyone with TOYO Proxes T1R tires, running 20's? specifically 245/35/20 F and 275/30/20 R is what i am planning on getting. Are they decent tires, or should i avoid them and look for something better?

I searched and pulled up some threads that said their ok, but anyone have any personal experience?

dont go with Toyo T1R's... they are ok and i did like them at first but they wear too fast, get quite noisey, dont grip the road that well and leak air

i would look at some

452's or PS2's

what's your use for the car? Do you want all out performance? or do you want an all season performance tire that will last you?

If you want the latter then i'd suggest the Bridgestone RE960AS pole positions. They have a 40k miles treadwear warranty and they are just as sticky as T1R's. I had them on my sedan in the same sizes and they never let go of the road once! They're a little more expensive but well worth it IMO.

I am running T1-R's in 19's and haven't had any of the issues Beebo claims.

The T1R's wear too fast? They have a treadwear rating of 280, one of the highest of any ultra high performance tire.

Treadwear ratings between different brands mean absolutely nothing. You can only compare ratings within the same brand of tire. Little known fact to anyone that's not in the business. But tire companies will raise thier ratings just because most people dont know.

haha, yeah, you'd toast em in a couple thousand miles. I rode with -3.0 in the rear for a good 5-6k miless and had to flip em.

thanks for the suggestions guys, i ended up getting the toyo's though, price was good - and with my luck with tires (3 sets in 30k), trying a different brand might be good heh.

I had T1R's on my 04 Sedan. I rotated them regularly and kept the air pressure up. They had got 25k on them when I sold the car and still had plenty of tread left. Awesome tire. I would definitely buy again.
