Budget tire suggestions
I've had my car for 2.5 years now, and I need to purchase my 4th set of tires. I've got a set of dedicated rubber for the drag strip, so I'm not too worried about over-the-top grip. And I haven't autocrossed in two years, so I don't need ultra-stiff sidewalls.
Instead, mMy car has turned into a high mileage daily. So I need tires that offer decent longevity, but that don't also completely suck bowling ***** for performance. I'm not too worried about summer/allseasons, as the Kumho summer tires I'm running have been fine the past two winters.
I also want to do this on the cheap, but not so cheap that my personal safety is at risk. Ideally I'd like something in the $100 per tire range, as I'm tired of spending $600+ per year on tires alone.
I've considered my current tires, Kumho SPT's, and all season variants, the ASX's(which I ran before the SPT's). I've also considered General Exclaim UHP's, Avontech tires, Falkens, and even some el-cheapo tires called Nexens.
Can any one think of any other cheaper mid-quality tire from a reputable vendor?

i recently got some nankang NS-II ultras. they are rated at 200 A A. i havent had any problems with at all. traction is pretty good, and they stick really well. it hasnt rained lately here in tampa, but it has rained a little. the wet traction is good. in the roads are slick then they will spin, but that depends on teh surface.
i would say they are def an overall good tire. i got 2 - 255/35/20 and 2 - 285/30/20 shipped to me for 490 across the US.

I have a set of Falken Azenis TS 115 in 245 35 19 all round. They are really good in the dry AND the rain. The one thing I noticed with these was whe I bedded in my new brake pads; these tires grab so hard, they will RIP rocks right out of the road surface. I have never seen tires do this, but these ar sticky as heck.

Got these for $822 installed with road hazard.
DON'T EVEN think you will find a set of tires you SHOULD put on your care for much less.
