Will agree with your choice, those are sick wheels. Then I guess 99% of us guys in the G and Z forums have below average wheels.

Sorry to get back in here so late.....

I bought the wheels and tires from a vendor on here. About a month/month and a half later when I was washing the car I noticed chome flakes on the towel. It was coming from the front left. I never used and chemical spray on them besides soap and water and none of the other wheels are doing it. All this happened almost a year ago. I'm still waiting on my "Warranty" replacement. When you look in the corner of the lip it has a chrome goldish color now and its still peeling. I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm given up hope on this Vendor. 1st it was 15 days then i never heard back, then I pm'd and it turn into 45 days and so on.

Kinda dirty..... Had to wipe the BD away

Can you give us some information on who the vendor was?

Well my wheels were imported thanks to a buddy. Being a wholesale customer and having some connections all helps with my personal pricing too

But yeah retail, they are really expensive but worth every penny. Top quality construction, flawless finish, and my 19x10 and 19x11 wheels weigh almost as much as the stock 18's.

It was Modcity / AutomotiveMods

Not trying to blast on them , but it has been a while. I know not everyone has problems with them and I just happen to get a shytty rim in my bunch.

They said it was covered and a year later nothing still. They say its out of there hands because they don't have them in stock then they told me when they get some they'll contact me well its been probably 3-4 months since our last pm, where I was asked to remove a post from their Sevas thread because I asked them not to forget about me and that I have been waiting for a while. Only reason I posted that was because I see people requesting these wheels so I assumed the they where supplying.

What do ya'll think

If wheels were in warranty, then they should replace them. If that model is not available, then they should at least offer to reimburse you to have the wheel re-chromed. Sorry to hear you waited this long. Man, that really sucks.

it's the result of the G rejecting the chrome wheels. They don't belong.

You are getting the run around. If you are serious about getting this replaced, hit them up again. If it is a warranty claim, they shouldn't need for them to be "in stock." The MFG should send a new one to them or you and you ship the old one back (hopefully at their expense). To me it sounds like they are just trying to push you off, making it seem like more trouble than it's worth and you having to deal with it.

If you don't act, it will never get exchanged, plain and simple. Get on the phone and make it happen!

EDIT: I even have to deal with issues like these sometimes when I place orders for items with new manufactures. A few years back, I was dealing with this new company in Southern California who was making these nice looking CF hoods. I put in an initial order for I think it was 15 hoods. I went down there with another driver to pick them up, drove back, and realized upon further inspection that MANY had defects in the weave and had problems with the latch. My mistake for not even looking more closely when I picked them up but that's besides the point.

I had to deal with their excuses for months until I finally just said screw it. I shipped all the hoods back to their warehouse at their expense, called my credit card company and filed a dispute for the charges. Done!

Even you could technically file a dispute for your wheels if you paid by credit card. But it may be too late now (depending on your credit card). I think you can file disputes up to 6-8 months after the purchase but I'm not 100% sure. You may want to call your CC company to just ask and find out for reference.

Regardless, if you did pay with your CC, it may be a good idea to casually mention that you may end up filing a dispute because you are tired of waiting for a product defect to get fixed.

They push you, you push back harder.

Infinite_R,

I just came across your thread, where you once again are pretty much accusing us of having this wheel in stock. Since you obviously no longer believe us, I would like you to call Sevas directly and ask them just how long they have been out of stock on this exact wheel. You now have convinced others members into believing you that we are somehow giving you the run around. I have had tons of requests for this wheel and had to turn down each and every customer, due to the fact that once again, they are on back order. Sevas S-22 (Chrome) for the G35 Coupe has been out of stock for over 5 months now. I have absolutely no reason to make this up. I have told you numerous times now, that as soon as they arrive, you will be notified immediately and we will ship you a replacement at no charge. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know. Thank you for your time.

Kenneth

I'm glad that you decided to post in the thread. Why do you continue to sell the Sevas wheels if they are taking so long to respond to your customer's warranty claim? I understand that they may be on backorder but for 5 months but what exactly is the root reason why they are taking so long? Does China take that long to process orders? Does Sevas not care about your customer? Is Sevas just waiting to put in a larger order for production? What's the hold up?

I am a retailer too and I would have dropped them from my lineup a long time ago. Profit margins are not the only thing to account for at the end of the day. Have you thought about the fact that maybe the Sevas wheel company is not the best? I bet you that you have lost this customer for life as well as others who read this thread. Good luck getting any future referrals.

The best part I like about this situation is that now the retailer is making accusations right back and acting like the customer did not pay their hard working dollars for a product. Yup, gotta love the industry.

Let me start by saying I didn't start this thread to make people think that you're giving me the run around, it was strictly for info like UrbanTacticZ just gave me thanks btw, I'll look into my other options.

I didn't not do business with Sevas Company, I did business with you so why do I need to call them to confirm. Whether they're out or not don't you think you should try and help me in some way?

Do you not see where I'm coming from on this issue? I've tried to be patient and I've given you almost a year on this. Do you remember the PM's about 15 days and 45 days and then another 45 more you where giving me? Then you want to sit on a crappy wheel that you supplied and twiddle my thumbs hoping fedex show up to my door one day with a replacement. I don't know too many people that would deal with this. Excuse me for assuming things but I don't know what you guys do at your business. We are miles apart and how do I know if instead of breaking up a set you got in stock to help me, you just don't sell them to someone who wants a full set? You also say they've been out of stock for 5 months now, well I contacted you with my problem way before then, so why haven't I got a wheel yet? I'm also glad to see that you've decided on no charge or do I still have to pay for shipping like you originally told me?

Infinite_R,

You are still not understanding. I asked you to call Sevas directly because, you still think we have these wheels in stock. Since Day 1, when you asked me for a replacement, I did not have a single Sevas S-22 (Chrome) wheel in stock for your application (Infiniti G35 Coupe) come in. If you think I am making this up, again, call Sevas directly, instead of asking me why, and you will find out for yourself. I have told you over and over again, we do not have these in stock. I have absolutly no reason to make this up and waste my time or yours. On another subject, if you have an issue with the quality of the wheel, well then, that is something you need to take up with Sevas as we do not manufacturer these wheels. We are just a dealer. In any case, once again, as soon as they are back in stock, you will be notified immediately and will receive a replacement at no charge. If you have any further questions, please feel free to let us know. Thank you.

Regards,
Kenneth
