I'm a HUUUUUUGE fan of stretched tires, even though I don't have them myself. Allows for some hella flush wheel action.

LOVE IT
LOVE IT
LOVE IT

It's not about not being able to afford the tires, that's just an ignorant statement. Price for a Dunlop Direzza

255/35-18 $187
265/35-18 $179
275/35-18 $156

So yeah the wider tires are actually cheaper.

Correct Size Tire for the rim........!

Putting a tire on a rim that's too small is stupid unless you don't drive that
vehicle. When I've seen this done it's been at meets/autoshows on vicer
cars like hondas etc. Why put your rims in jeopardy to attain a look that's
dangerious. Can you see this trend on a car doing a canyon run....look out
below....

because it's just better. lol. i prefer it over the 4x4. of course, if i had a drag auto, i'd add meaties. better looks, and performance are things that come with stretched tires. driving str8 is fun and all, but making full use of the car by way of turns, etc., is waaaay funner! sidewall flexing is gay.

Question for all of you guys who shout "it's dangerous, stupid, not right, the manufacturer has specifications, bla bla bla"

Have you EVER heard of a story where someone's tire came off the wheel because of a stretch? Or is this all an assumption you're making....

You think it's smart to disregards the tire maker's specifications for usage? And I when I say disregard, I mean by a HUGE margin.

I could run 4 lugs vs 5 and be okay. But is that smart? Nope

Never said it's smart, so don't put words in my mouth. But it works, and works without issue. The tire manufacturers are going to err on the extreme side of safety to cover all bases.

So it's not smart to do. Okay that one is settled.

Sure error by a size or two? I'll concede that. but running a 245 on something like a 10.5" wheel?? That ain't "erroring" on the safe side. That's downright dangerous. That's like running 3 lugs vs 5.
