285-35-19 / 265-35-19 Fitment?

Hey guys...

I currently have PIAA 19 x 9 Front and 19 x 10s in rear with 255/35/19 and 275/35/19 respectively.

I don't like the way the Goodyear GSCs sidewall angles inward because of how wide the wheels are.

Do you know if I will have any fitment issues (i.e. rubbing fenders, etc...) if I went with either a 285 or 295 (35/19) for the rears.

and if I put 265/35/19s in the front. From just jacking the vehicle up and checking clearance... the fronts don't look like a problem to go with 265/35/19s.

The rear tires are my concern. Has anyone put a 285 or 295 (35/19) on the rears without problems...

I know we need to know offset too.. and I don't have mine handy right now... but its the standard offset that PIAA gives for 19"s on a G35 Coupe with 19 x 9 and 19 x 10 respectively. (Its a 2004 Coupe).

Any input guys would be helpful!

I would go 265/30/19 instead in the front, 285/35/19 in the rear will be fine

Hey Dean, do you have a photo of your car. I noticed your front wheels are wider than mine at 9.5" and you have 255s on... Was just curious if maybe its my GSCs that look so "stretched" on the rims and its not the size.... Just the brand tire.

I have heard people saying the GSCs look like they are always flat and I totally agree with that statement.

Thanks all for input...

What's the best way or place to roll the fenders? I have heard of the baseball bat trick... any suggestions on how to?

well since i did the rear spring mount mod to my suspension, i dont have any updated pics. the fronts are pre rolled on g35's but the rear is the only part you have to worry about. i need to roll my fenders and will probably take a baseball bat to them this weekend. i dont have any pics right now of my car but i'll try and get a few for ya.

I like the look of the 265/35/19 much better than how my 255s look on my 9" PIAAs. The sidewalls sit nice and flat! Are you running the same size in the rear? What size do you have in the rears? rim width? and did you have to roll the rears?

so do you have a pic of your rears (side view like above)... where I can see the tire sidewall. Does it look the same or have a little "stretch" going on?

I only have 10" wide rears so I figure mine my sit slightly less stretched if yours are stretched at all. Mine look stretched now with 275/35/19 GSCs.

What tires are you using? Brand/Model? Also, do your rub right now? in front or rears...

So with the general consensus so far let's recap:

My car has Eibachs on it.

I have 19 x 9" in the front and 265-35-19 with be fine and Look GOOD like above with a straight "non" stretched sidewall.

But, my rears with 19 x 10"s; if I decide to move one up from 275-35-19 which does not rub right now. Will rub with 285-35-19s and I will need to roll the fenders.

Does everyone agree with that... 285s will rub with 10" wide wheels in rear?

Thanks all for your input!

it won't necessarily rub, its going to be close. It all depends on the actual tire brand, amount of drop, and camber/alignment settings. I would be prepared to roll though if you go with the 285
