Oh you can get 19" winter tires no problem. Whether it's advisable is an entirely different matter. The money you'll spend on getting 17" rims will be offset by the fact that 17" tires are cheaper than 19's.

Besides, the salt on the road will really hurt your nice OEM rims, why would you put them through that?

Yeah, because a sucker was born every minute - I wouldn't advise it for 19"s

i bought a set of Einkei 17's w/ Hankooks winter tires when i had my Sti from Discount tire. When i got my G35 Discount tire sent me new centering rings for free so i can use these wheels for the G.
snow tires and wheels in 05' were $900.

i won't go a winter without them.

Just like everyone on here has said already ... don't subject you 19's to the salt and winter conditions ...
