Do I need an alignment, with my new rims

the way that weight bears down with your new wheels as opposed to your old ones is different.
the fact that the geometry is different to the ground will change the dynamics of your suspension.
you should definitely get an alignment because the surface area touching the ground on your old wheels versus your new ones is probably different not including the difference in offset as to how that weight travels to the ground.
