Need some help with wheels.

Hey people, I need a favor...again. Can a few of you guys/gals take a look at this link and give me your honest opinions about these wheels. What I'm looking for is a good deal but I don't want the wheels to bend or warp the minute I put them on my car. So, is this a good deal or should I keep looking? I know they're NOT original OEM. Also, what tire size would I need to go with these. Someone posted a good deal at Tirerack about some 225/45ZR18. Would this tire work for this wheel? My car isn't lowered...yet but I do plan to go with an Eibach/Tokico D Spec setup.

I don't think anyone here is going to recommend you getting cheap ebay wheels. i say just wait and get something better. you can try the classifieds section there are always great deals on used wheels and tires.

Thanks for the replies. I'll probably just wait and see what I can get my hands on. I'm planning on doing either 18 or 19 in. wheels.

OK, another question. How do I know if a rim is of good quality? Take the ASA AR9 wheels, how do I know if its a good rim? It comes from Tirerack and I've purchased products from them before. The price is pretty cheap so does that mean the rims are of cheap quality? Is this a situation where you get what you pay for? I did do a search by the way.

basically it's you get what you pay for. just because its from a reputable sales place such as tirerack, doesn't mean all of their rims are of good quality. i bought some cheap AZA rims from tirerack, the finish has been scratched on a few of them just from normal driving, I think a rock scraped them up or something. I've had them for a couple months, and dont seem to be warping or anything, but who knows

I wouldn't go with eBay knockoffs. Rims fall into the category of "you get what you pay for". You should probably look at spending between $250-350 per wheel for something half decent and stick with a brand name. You don't need to spend $1000s but you should aim for something lightweight, solidly constructed and with the look you want. Take your time, save your money.

There are some wheels called RS Drift that are nicely priced and look alot like those wheels but with a lip.

I am in the same quandry as you. I want another set of wheels for autox with a set of Falken 615's. It doesn't make sense to pay a ton of money for a second set like that. Feedback on the ebay stuff is mostly positive but you get what you pay for.

Yeah, I haven't decided what I'll do just yet but I'm sure something will turn up without me breaking the bank.

Do whatever you want, not everyone has to spend $4000+ on rims, I know I sure won't. Wheels are not worth that much to me, and you STILL see people bending expensive *** rims
