need suggestions for rims

hey guys, i want to get rims for my sedan for weight reduction and looks for shows. so im thinking of going 19 inches, but that might actually make my wheels heavier.
anwyays, do you guys know if there are any rims that fit the sedan that resemble the 5 spoke Hammaan rims that they make for BMW's? those are sweet.

try to look at the volks. The have lots of styles. They are good performance wheels. They are generally light as hell too.
To keep your weight low... stay away from chrome and multi piece wheels... get something that is forged.

I'm going for the Iforged Aero's 19x9(rear) and 19x8(front). They are actually light. I think about 22lbs which aint bad at all and plus all the attention you'll get...that's priceless

I love those Volks on your G. I was gonna go that way but, decided to go with that Luxury-sport look.

Re: need suggestions for rims

yea, i want to get volks, but the price is so damn high. what is the fattttest rim i can get in the front, so i can match that in the rear?

or should i get a staggered rim setup and then get the same size tires?

Re: need suggestions for rims

stagger it. go up a little up front... you can go really high in the rear or keep it moderate. Most are going 245 front and 275 rear. I hear you can get into the 300's in the rear with the right offset. butt that is crazy big.

Re: need suggestions for rims

In my opinion, one should consider the following for the sedan:

(1) To keep the speedometer and gearing accurate, you should keep the tire height as close to stock as possible.

(2) To prevent VDC/slip issues you should also attempt to keep the front tire height and back tire height as close to the same as possible.

(3) You should choose offsets that will allow the rear wheels to fit inside the fender.

(4) You should choose front offsets that will prevent the front wheels from rubbing the wheel well during tight turns.

Re: need suggestions for rims

What's the advantage of going to a large size tire in the rear?

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: need suggestions for rims

you have more contact to the road surface. More traction. Helps in the turns and off the line.

Not all-inclusive, but I hope it helps...

Zimbo,
What size of tires do you recommend on 19x9 and 19x8?..
