Re: will this fit?

I'm running Cusco sway bars that transfer 36% bar stiffness to the rear with equal tires front and rear, I just manage to have neutral handling. Go wider in the rear will enhance understeer that was already overcome with the bar settings. Also sway bars can only be relied apon to certain stiffness levels. Go too much stiffer then oem to try and dial out bad choices in setup and you'll run into the problem of not letting the suspension at that end of the car act like a independent suspension.

Re: will this fit?

so whats the widest possible fit on the front? would a 9 fit up there? that way i can run 9 front and 9 rear. sweet. the heck with staggering then. im trying to get the Axis Hiro rims...i think they only come in 19 x 8.5 or 9.5
oh yea 1 more thing, you guys think these rims will bend or dent easily? they are cast and 19 inches... i dunno guys, seems risky. maybe 18s would be better eh?

Re: will this fit?

nuttyprof - according to info right in the Sedan Fitment Chart thread, g35funk has 19x8.5 (+45) 245/35/19 in front, and Giovanna has 19x9 (+35) wheels all around, ???/??-19 tires, lowered and no mods to the fenders (if interested in running 19's, I would email giovanna.com to find out tire size and drop amount/springs). Safe to say 18" is less expensive than 19", and availability likely better as well.

One of our local guy's got his sedan to run w. F: 19 x 8.5 +38 and R: 19 x 9.5 +42 (running 245/35 and 275/30). However, you will need at least a 1.5" drop to assit the 'tuck'. He also had his rear fender trimmed approx. 3-5mm as a precaution. No reports of rubbing according to him.

Yes, thanks, his sizes do help. I understand you pick up a tiny bit more space as a result of camber change when lowering - although if you use a camber kit to correct you can't work that extra into your clearance calculation or count on it. I don't plan a big drop, and since this seems most applicable to rear calculations when lowering more than 1" or so, I'm not sure if I really need to be too concerned about this for front clearance calculations? I seem to have enough outboard room for what I want to do, but minimum suspension room remains an issue.

Re: will this fit?

I had a set of 18x8s +45 offset (Enkei RPM2) on the front running 235 tires. Bottom line.....wheel was too close to the front suspension. Factoring in occassion tire bulging, the tire will mildly contact the suspension. Take a look at G35Sedan's picture again....now look about an inch below where his arrow points. This is where the suspension is the closest to the tire. I ultimately switched out my rims for 18x8 +38 offset (BBS CH)...Perfect Fit!

Also, running 255s on an 8 inch wide wheel is pushing the limits. 8.5 is the way you want to go (if it fits that is). I personally wouldn't go anything beyond a 245 on an 8 inch wide wheel.
