10.5x19 on a Sedan? Critique this setup please...
In a nutshell I'm thinking about running this setup on my car and want to see if I'll have any problems:
F: 8.5x19 245/40/19 (possibly 245/35/19 since the tires are cheaper)
R: 10.5x19 245/40/19 (possibly 245/35/19 since the tires are cheaper)
My buddy actually is selling his Volk TE37s to me, so I think I'm going to pick them up, however he has them on his G Coupe, so he off the top of his head wasn't sure what the offsets are (hopefully not too aggressive for my sake).
I have an 05 Sedan, so I'm hoping they'll fit.
From memory, he's running 8.5" in the front and either 9.5" or 10.5" in the rear and ideally I want to run 245/40/19 all around, so that I will be able to rotate the tires (knowing that I'll have to dismount them because of the staggered sizes in the wheels).
Tirerack recommends 245/40/19 for a 10.5" wheel, which is surprising, so I assume that the tire will fit if the rear rims are indeed 10.5", just stretched (will it be safe, any downsides??). I'm curious if I'll have even tire wear, because I don't want uneven wear due to camber and what not. Also, I'm stock height and for the time being don't have any plans of lowering the car anytime soon (who knows though).
Also, do you see any other problems with me running this setup on a sedan...

I drive an 05 G35 Sedan and have been through this. Here is what I have learned. You might want to consider the offset between the coupe and the sedan. The 05 sedan has a 45 offset all around while the coupe can run between 30 and 35 easily. This means those wheels will protrude out from the wheel wells a significant distance. Also, on the front of the sedan there is not a large area of clearance on the inside so I would consider that also. You can run an offset of 38 to 40 on an 8-8.5" rim both front and back and be ok. Your tires will line up with the outside of the car body.
The tread on a 245 is 9.64" so it will fit a 9.5 wheel but not a 10.5."

1.5" drop.

how accurate is the wheel/tire size calculator on this forum? Just to answer the question on the sidewall, per that calculator, the 40 sidewall on the front tires is the closest to overall diameter on the front wheel for our 03-04 sedans, less than 1%. So the 245/40/19 will get you closer to overall diameter than the 245/35/19 will. if that really matters to you.
