Squeaky brakes! Help!

... I know I've seen some posts about this before. Did everyone get a notice from Infiniti about premature brake wear on their AT Coupe? Well my brakes squeak quite loudly when braking slowly, in forward and especially in reverse. I went to my dealer for my oil change and mentioned the brakes. The service guy said "You only have 8000 miles on your car, your brakes can't be worn already. It's most likely brake dust causing the squeaking". I mentioned the warning/notice Infiniti Corp. had sent out, which he acknowledged but still said my brakes were fine. When I went to pay for my oil change, I asked about it, and he said they inspected the brakes and they looked fine. But they still squeak all the time! Any suggestions??? It sounds like I'm driving a used pickup truck every time I come to a stop.

I am having this same problem. I am at 9000 miles and am due for my oil change soon. When I go I will mention that my brakes are squeaking and see what they say. I also got that notice and plan to bring the paper with me.

I hate dealerships. Should have done my research before I went in. Turns out there is a TSB for this:

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownershi.../ITB03-069.htm

I'm printing it out and giving my Service guy an earful.

Man!! I thought something was wrong with my car, because my car only has 1900 mi on it. And mine doesn't make real squeaky noises yet, but it kind of sounds like it will soon. It was like this since the day I got it. Will changing the brake pads fix this problem (how bout switching to nismo brake pads).

The only consistent fix for the squeaking I've heard is washing the pads thoroughly to get all dust off or getting those GreenStuff pads. Although the consensus is those Greenstuff pads.

Or Hawk Brake Pads. I had it replaced about 3K ago and loving it.
No squeek and very low brake dusts.
