Mismatching Tires?

Ok so I hit a pot hole & bent my rim & had to buy a new rim & got two new front tires from tire rack. I got the Yokohama Avid W4S. Supposed to be an all season tire.

Went to have wheel & Tire installed. Rep at Conrads stated my rear (oem) Michelin Tires still had tread & that I really didnt need to replace those tires I could come back late summer & get the rear Yoko tires...

1)I guess should I worry about it or take his advice?
2) Anyone have any opinions or thoughts on the Avid W4S?, As far as being a good brand or tire & snow/all season traction goes??

Any advice/help appercaited thanks.

it fine to run mismatched tires... just make sure the new front tires you do get have the same speed and preformance ratings/specs...

If they are michelin ps2's, I would not run them with all season front tires. This combo can ruin the handling of the car and/or mess up the VDC

generally a good idea to run 4 the same. and for the love of life, get some snow tires for the winter.
