Wheel Size Calculator / Rim Weights
Hey, i'm pretty much a lamen in car talk. I got an 03 Coupe and I want to put 20X8.5s in the front and 20X10s in the back. I'm buying the wheels and tires separately, so how wide can I go on the rear wheel tires. I want to go with the Toyo Proxes 4 295/30/20, but would I be able to just throw those on and know they'll fit without doing any further modifications? The place I'm buying the rims from say they do 295s all the time on g35 coupes with no problems, but i want a 2nd opinion.
i got this info from the tire calculator
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
225/40-19 3.5in 13.0in 26.1in 82.0in 773 0.0%
245/35-19 3.4in 12.9in 25.8in 80.9in 783 -1.3%
Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
245/40-19 3.9in 13.4in 26.7in 83.9in 755 0.0%
275/35-19 3.8in 13.3in 26.6in 83.5in 759 -0.5%
i really dont see any significant difference.

small question: i am looking for winter-tires.
i have a 2006 g35 coupe. this thread tells that the size is
19" 5 split spoke (2005+ Coupe optional)
Front: 19"x8" +30mm offset
Rear: 19"x8.5" +33mm offset
is this correct for the rims in the picture?
i have 245/40/19" at the moment, and want to switch for winter to 225/45/19", but i am not sure that they still fits to the rims..

This thread should include definite weights of the OEM wheels as well.
OEM 19" Rays:
Front - 19lbs
Rear - 21lbs
If any one else has this info regarding other factory wheels post it up.

Sorry guys but the calculator listed at the start of the thread is dead and older than you know what. I found a better one that is more visual and has lots more information.
Just go here https://www.wheel-size.com/ and click on the wheel calculator. There is also a lot of useful information about wheels and tires on the site. Check it out.

Best Wheel/Rim combination for coilovers
I just recently bought a G35 and truthfully I was never a car kind of guy before but I've been doing a lot of research and learning about the community and I'm loving it. That being said I was hoping someone could help me out with finding out which wheels and rims are best to get if I'm planning on installing coilovers. Thanks.

Best is a personal opinion and I wouldn't have a clue which direction to point you. You'll have to decide first your budget then what size wheels, what size tires, how much of a drop you're looking at, the potential need for aftermarket camber/toe kits (recommended by most if the drop is 1" or more), whether you are willing to roll/flatten fenders, what look you're going for, the possible need to work around BBK's if they're in your future, etc. It can be overwhelming for a newcomer. Please don't let us decide what you like for you, wheels are one of the biggest statements you can make about you on your car and this needs to be your decision. I highly recommend you read through the stickied threads at the top of this sub-forum to educate yourself on potential choices. Know, too, this isn't something you can do correctly for $700-800 (not including the cost of your coils) since coilovers are in the mix. It can get pricey quickly so make your decisions, shop wisely and sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor when it's all done. GL
