offset doesnt effect brembo fitment?

So I read the offset page at tirerack and It seems to me that no matter what the offset is it does not affect the spacing issues with brembos. It seems to me is is soley based on the spoke design and how far the spokes bow out. Please correct me if im wrong but the offset is measured from the back of the bolt holes not the wheels spokes? Thanks

you're correct about how offset is measured, but the brembo calipers are larger than non-brembo calipers, and you need more clearance for them to fit.

spoke design effects offset in its own way, but no, offset alone cannot be used to determine brake clearance

check out my etch-n-sketch, same amount of concavity face, different offsets. It's really that unknown spacing shown on the drawing to the right is what confuses people. No wheel manutfacturer gives or even considers this measurement.

OK, so that being settled. Im looking at 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear for my coupe. What offsets should i be looking for if i want a flush with the fender look? Im going to be running 245/30/20 in the front and 275/30/20 in the rear so i should be able to get a aggressive offset. Thanks for the input.

Offset does matter, in regards to how it effects the shape of the spokes. Spoke design and the thickness of the disk/pad are what create caliper clearance.
