Need offset for 19x9.5 for sedan

I'm trying to purchase some rims, but the guy said that the 9.5 won't work on my sedan. I say bull crap, because I know of people on here that are running 10" wide on their sedans.

Does anyone know the offset needed for a 19x9.5 for the sedan?

I've done searches on here, but this website has no real organization for us sedan guys.

Any sedan guys, speak up. PLEASEEEEEE....

safe offset for the sedans are 8.5 front with 35-38mm and 9.5 with a 43-45mm...

i have 20x8.5 38mm 245/35/20 and 20x9.5 45mm 255/35/20 with full 350z suspension. no need to roll fenders at all...no rubbing with 5 people sitting in the car.

+1

9.5 is fine for the rear. My Volk GTC's were 9.5" +47 with a 275/30/20 and had enough room for 0.5 degrees of negative camber without rolling fenders.

If you want to roll your fenders you can clear a 10" +40.

So, how does the offset work? The higher the number the further the wheel sticks out?

+45 offset on a 9.5 will sit nice and flush. I have a 19x9.5 +45 with a 275 tire in the rear, no negative camber, it does rub slightly and i'm also dropped on tein basics. next alignment i'll dial a little neg camber to fix the rubbing.

No, the opposite, the higher the offset, the more it goes in... lower offset sticks out

Alright guys, since there are a million threads with similar stuff, I didn't to start another and felt this thread had good sedan info. Here's my question for you guys. I'm looking at these wheels for my 04 sedan.

I don't know what offset they are yet, i'm thinking he said +40 but need to confirm, we'll go with that for now. Here's the set-up:

Front Wheels: 19x8 (225/35/19)
Rear Wheels: 19x8.5 (245/35/19)

Will they work without issues? Thanks guys.

^^+40mm offset will work without issues. Personally i would go with 225/40/19 front and 245/40/19 rear...

yes the 40 sidewall will be much closer to the overall diameter of the stock wheel than the 35 sidewall, if that matters to you.

again fitment question for the sedan. On s-techs. willing to roll fenders and get camber kit.
Front 20x8.5 +38 Rear 20x10 +43. What are thoughts on this and ideal tire size? Thinking 245/35/20front rear 265 or 275/30/20 unless 35 will work..

I thought Racing Dynamics was BMW/Euro only? Cool if they fit!

The guy started off saying his friend has a coupe and that they would work fine on a sedan. Then, he started saying one wheel doesn't hold air too well but could be repaired. Uh, negative.... Didn't buy them, got enough headaches already.

The front offsets are a little conservative but the overall fitment should work fine. - Mike
