Q: about 20 inch rims/ PIC OF RIM

ok... this is the last of my 20 inch rim questions ~ need to know before I make a decision~~~~

1st - whats the biggest tire I can go with on 20s?
the recommended size is 245/35/20
can I do a 245/40/20 in order to fill up wheel gap and have a smoother ride due to having more meat on the tire????

2nd- R 20 inch chrom rims going to weigh down the car where I will see a difference in proformance????
the rims I want to get are 20 that weight between 35 to 40 pounds each.

what u guys think?

BTW- This is the Rim Im thinking about getting- What Do U guys THINK???

a lot of members are going towards the concave face..
it looks ok, but chrome will be heavy and can affect performance.
i would continue researching some lighter rims, but to each his own

The wheels in questions are pretty....... It all depends on what color your car is IMO, Black+Chrome= , silver+Chrome= It all depends on what you like. When I first bought my "DG" G I was set on chromies but, after seeing other DG's with silver vs. chrome I'm going with silver wheels with chrome lip. I think it has a better contrast and doesn't look all BLING BLING. My last car was Black with chrome 20's and it was sexy as hell, but ghetto sort of. On my DG G, silver is sexy!

As far as tires TTrank has a sticky that has every bit of FAQ's and Info. that you'll ever need! Thanks TTrank

Those are Giovanna Dalar 20's, please don't ever put those on a G, they look better on an S-class or something. Yes the triple plated chrome is much heavier than a nice set of forged wheels. 245-35-20 is the best size to go with lowered or not.

Ever heard of the search button buddy??

Highly recommend reading the FAQ first to answer your questions you can not go with a 40 series on 20" rim it's out of spec of your stock tire circumference which would raise the height of the car which isn't the look you're looking for. You will notice the difference is handling with the 20" and a drop in gas mileage. On average a 20" rim is going to weight about 5-10lbs more than a 19" rim then add even more weight for chrome.... So keep that in mind when searching. I went from 19" to 20" and intially I could tell the difference in acceleration and handling but now seems like has even out not sure if I've gotten use to it or if my ECU adjusted to the new setup. I wouldn't go with that design of rim it doesn't match the 1st Gen Sedan.

You can go up to a 275/30/20 on the rear( if you want to run a staggered set-up). Just make sure you have the correct offsets or you will rub.

I think Perry mentioned this before...good luck with your choice!!!!

Keep shopping the marketplace and your regional section you'll find plenty of rims and tires for sale here most of us that have been around for a while tend to switch up every couple years I'm on my 3rd pair of rims others have switched 5 or 6 times.
