How does powder coating hold up over time?

has anyone done a gold or bronze powdercoating of the rays?

I had my rx8(now moved to the G) rims powdercoated black for about a year and a half, and I have yet to get any chips or any sign of wear. They are still beautiful and perfect as long as you take care of it and watch out for those curbs then the powdercoating lasts very long.
