hey i have an 05 IP coupe and i was wondering what you guys think of powdercoating the rims. My car has the stock 19's
you guys think a black glossy look would look good? opinions please!!!

i also have 20% tint n the back and soon to be 35% in the front...cops made me take it off before

No don't do gunmetal, thats the color I want lol. I think gunmetal is the new black.

 

IP would absolutely rock with Gunmetal. Problem is everyone and his mother is using it, in all new car models, all colors. Sort of looks REAL GHEY with DG or LR G's. It looks outright akward with those colors.

In case you were wondering what Black would look like. I'd like to take the other set we have and do Gunmetal, but like it was stated, it's being done a lot... BUT, looks killer and seeing around here, DG is a not so common colorway, I might just do it!

Close up: Sorry, tires are emphasisized as it was a picture the seller was showing me to show tread wear at time of us purchasing the car... Shows the color, though... I will get better pictures at some point...

 

I've been thinking of powdercoating my rims black myself but after seeing a pic on DG they kinda look like steelies...I'd have to see it in person im sure it looks alot better...both my previous cars had powdercoated rims and it looked great but they were more perfomancish tuner cars (evo8, turbo 2001 prelude)

 

I have a 05 IP as well with 28% tint. I was thinking of doing gunmetal. If you go that direction you will have to let me see how it looks. If your worried about having the same style on our cars dont worry Im all the way over in Boston, lol.
