lowering sedan
Re: lowering sedan
If you're in for the 'cheap' then Tein Type BASIC may be one of your best bet for $800. Ride height is adjustable, but damper rate is fixed.
To gain damper adjustability, a really good idea, will nearly double the cost. i.e. Tein Type CS, HKS Hipermax LS+, etc.

Re: lowering sedan
damn...
well what it says is adjustable -1.6 to -3.7 front and 0 to -1.4
so doesnt that mean if i get them installed the car will be atleast -1.6 already? or can i adjust it so it drops less then -1.6?

Re: lowering sedan
Ahh yes. I appologize. I completely over-looked that. You're one of the few people that wants to 'raise' (relatively speaking) their car.
Geeez ... how about an air-bag system for you? ;p

Re: lowering sedan
it's stupid huh? hahaha well unless i sell my brand new tires and maybe get them in 255/45R18 it'll raise the car slightly more then an inch and fill the gap more... then getting springs and lowering it wont be a problem, no gap almost same height

Re: lowering sedan
why dont you get the 350Z suspension. its really close to a 1 inch drop. you'll like it if you dont mind the bumpiness some complain of. its hella cheap too. less than 200 bucks for springs and struts.

Re: lowering sedan
u mean the stock 350z suspension?
i'm probably swapping the tires for 245/45R18s
though i don't think it's gonna fill up the gap much... maybe 2 fingers?

Re: lowering sedan
I have 245/18/45's in the rear and they fill up the gap nicely, but i still dropped it. I have 225/18/45's on the fronts (i have coupe wheels on my sedan) and there was a huge gap. I think you will still have a gap with 245/18/45's on the front. I could almost put my whole fist thumb side facing the sky in the gap of the front wheels before I droped it, now there is maybe 2.5 fingers of gap.
Re: lowering sedan

Re: lowering sedan
I agree with you. I've had my Eibach's for several months, and I'm sitting (no punn intended) at almost a 1 3/4 inch drop all around.
My initial measurements after the install was 1 1/4 inches. Could I have dropped another 1/2 inch? I never used to scrape the bottom of my driveway, but now I do when I come in at a straighter angle. That never happened before.
I know it's not my weight - because I've lost 65lbs! The road I travel on quite a bit is in terrible condition with huge pot holes and overfilled ones too. I wonder if that road has really put these springs to good use and has caused them to settle more than usual.
Regards,
John

Re: lowering sedan
I have a set of 2003 350Z springs and struts that I bought in November but never installed. My Eibachs feel just fine for my needs and IMO my drop is absofreakinglutely perfect. PM me if you want them... I'll sell them for $150 + shipping (prolly $50).
