OEM 03 sedan 16inch rims vs. OEM 03 Coupe 17inch rims
Hey guys,
I have an 03 base sedan that came with 16inch rims. I know many of you may not be familiar with the rims, much less the fact that they exist, but I was wondering if anyone knows how much they weigh?
I am thinking of picking up a set of 03 coupe 17inch rims, and I want to know if they are heavier than mine. With tires (I have crappy Continental 205/65/16's) which combo will be lighter?
Also, are there any economical lightweight 16 or 17 inch rims?
I'll post up pics in about an hour when I'm off work.
Thanks for the help!

those sedan wheels are horrible and i never saw those, first time i ever see them. my eyes are still recuperating. can't tell you how much the coupe wheels weigh, but aftermarket 16 and 17 you have a lot of choices for some very good prices. lightweight and decent price check the following
Konig Feather in 17" weighs about 16.4lbs and $131 from tire direct
Drag DR-9 and Drag DR-17 both around the high 15 low 16s in lbs and under $150 per wheel
5Zigen FN01R-C comes in 17x7 17x8 and 17x9. The 17x9 is about 18.6lbs and $216 per wheel
i know all this since i just bought some new wheels for my 240sx. the FN01R-C in 17x9 all around. check www.discounttire.com they have some really good prices on some decent, light wheels.

other wheels to consider are the wedsport TC005 they are discontinued and hard to find but very light
the Motegi Racing Traklite in 17" is about 14.2 lbs. Tire rack carries them for about 280 a wheel.
OZ ultraleggera in 17 is 16.1 lbs
all these options are way cheaper than volks. i went that way because everyone will either say get them or has them. also some of these wheels are actually lighter in the same sizes than the volks, but quality is quality. at least you have options to make a decision.
