Question TPMS and 2 Piece aftermaket rims??

I got some new 2 piece rims, and I wanted to install my TPMS in my new rims like accordfreak did in his DIY.
(DIY: Installing TPMS on your aftermarket wheels.) But how would you get them re-programed if they are in the rim??

They're actually a radio frequency - they can program them without taking the tire off by picking up the signal and programming the signal to your ECU.

BTW if you're looking for a set of TPMS I've got a set off of an '05 coupe for sale - $90.

If you keep your TPMS in the same spot when you move them from your old wheels, then they won't have to be reprogrammed at all

also as long as your air pressure is set to the right specs then after you drive about 10 minutes to 10 miles they should reset automatically

Thanks, that is the type of info I was looking for. And thanks, but no thanks. I have my set from my old OEM 19's.

I wish it was that easy, but my TPMS have been in a box for the last 2 years. I been rolling on my current crappy rims for 2 years now, with no TPMS.
