Re: Help with tire rub??

Umm...I have SSR GT1 18x8 38 offset all around with 235/45 tires (no drop), there's not much room between the tire and the suspension in the front. If it was me, I would definately run 245 just to be safe...I assume you have a sedan like me running a 40 plus offset

Re: Help with tire rub??

Well, I thought of the staggered setup, but I did not want to introduce more understeer to the car.

Re: Help with tire rub??

Umm I forgot who it was, but they said I didn't need to do a staggered setup because I had same size for all 4 plus withs omething on the sedan that didnt need it. I dont know, but should I then? 255-65 rear? and 245 front? Thanks

Re: Help with tire rub??

Just stick w/ 245s...........255s will not rub on a +40 offset, but will give the tire a bubbly look. 245s will have more of a flush look between the rim and tire. I'm running on 19x8.5 (+35) fronts / 19x9.5 (+42) rears - 245s front & 265s rear (had to roll the rear fenders)

Re: Help with tire rub??

I would only go wider in the back if you have wider rims back there, ie 9.5...IF you have 8.5 front and 9.5 back, then you can run 245/40 front and 275/35 back...

Re: Help with tire rub??

he said he has a sedan.....no need for staggered....i think you should go with 245's....i have 19 x 8.5 with 245's on the front of my coupe....and there is still enough rubber to protect the rims...

Re: Help with tire rub??

Hubcentric rings, the aftermarket wheels should come with these. Ask your dealer about them. Unless the wheel bore fits the bore of the stock hub which is 66.1 or 66.2mm, then you won't need them. It's not really "needed," but if you plan on driving aggressively, I recommend them.

Re: Help with tire rub??

Sorry Martin, it must have gotten lost in the plethora of PMs. Don't ask the Infiniti dealer but the wheel dealer of where you got your wheels. If they don't provide them, then here's the link to what you need.
